Meet Jen!

I was a Labor and Delivery nurse when I had my first child I 2003, and thought my professional experience would make breastfeeding a breeze. However, I encountered many early challenges and discovered first-hand that, outside of my own professional network, breastfeeding support was lacking in my community. As I learned how to help myself through my own struggles, I discovered my passion for breastfeeding and all things lactation! As my knowledge base and skills grew, I knew I wanted to serve breastfeeding families in an advanced role so I became an IBCLC in 2007 and haven’t looked back!

During my 10 years as an IBCLC at a large Fort Worth hospital, not only did I become a mother for the second time (with a much better breastfeeding experience), I completed the Master’s program at Texas Woman’s University and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. After working for 5 years in a busy Family Practice caring for newborns and their families, I am excited to focus solely on lactation support and advanced services for medical care during lactation. In 2022, I launched my private practice after relocating from Texas to South Carolina. I live in Greer, SC with my husband of 25 years, two daughters, two rescue cats and two rescue dogs! In my free time I enjoy travel, watercolor, road trips to visit our oldest at Auburn (War Eagle!).
