Meet Your Advanced Lactation Provider...
Jennifer Gerard, APRN, FNP, IBCLC, PMH-C
I’m Jennifer, a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner and IBCLC with over 30 years of experience supporting breastfeeding and lactating families. Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside families with a wide range of feeding goals, challenges, and medical needs. Four years ago, I opened my private practice to offer evidence-based lactation care that is compassionate, respectful, and centered on each family’s unique values and priorities.
My clinical expertise includes advanced training in chronic low milk supply, lactation pharmacology, perinatal mental health, and medical conditions that impact lactation. This specialized background allows me to provide comprehensive, medically informed breastfeeding support that goes beyond standard lactation care and works in collaboration with other healthcare providers when needed.
I believe lactation support should be both scientific and deeply human. My approach blends the latest evidence with empathy, listening, and individualized guidance. I empower parents to make informed feeding decisions that feel right for their family—whether that includes breastfeeding, combination feeding, pumping, or transitioning in a way that supports both physical and emotional well-being.
