Lab Testing Costs & Insurance Coverage
When laboratory tests are requested or recommended, lab fees are billed separately from your visit fee.

Clients with health insurance are welcome to use their benefits. Insurance coverage for screening labs varies by plan, and tests may be partially covered, fully covered, or not covered at all.
As a result, you may be responsible for cost sharing (copays, deductibles, coinsurance) or the full cost of labs. Because insurance benefits and pricing are determined by your insurer, we are unable to estimate your exact out-of-pocket cost.
We strongly recommend contacting your insurance company directly to verify coverage before testing.
Transparent Self-Pay Lab Testing (No Surprise Bills)
We understand how frustrating unexpected medical bills can be. To help avoid this, we offer a self-pay lab option for all clients—regardless of insurance coverage.
With self-pay labs:
-
Pricing is fully transparent
-
Costs are often lower than insurance-based lab pricing
-
Lab work is completed at your local Quest Diagnostics
-
You will know your total cost before labs are ordered
-
No additional or surprise bills
State-Specific Lab Availability
-
Self-pay lab options are available for clients in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, and New Mexico
-
For clients in South Carolina and Texas, self-pay labs are required due to licensure regulations and a $10 physician sign-off fee will be added for these states.
