This focused consult is designed for clients working with an IBCLC who would like to discuss appropriate labs for evaluation of low milk supply. Visit does not include a feeding assessment, pump flange fitting, etc. There are many factors that contribute to low milk supply, it is very important that you have taken steps to optimize production to the best of your ability BEFORE pursuing lab work. Order will be provided for lab work if indicated and cost of labs is client responsibility. Telephone follow up to discuss results is included in visit cost. For some conditions (thyroid imbalance, Vitamin D deficiency, anemia, etc) identified through lab work, I can also provide treatment (except WV), order follow up labs and monitor. For treatment you will book an initial Lactation Medicine Visit with follow up Lactation Medicine visits as needed. TLN pre-approved clients: The lactation portion of your visit will be covered by TLN. The medical portion of your visit is not covered by TLN and medical services are self-pay with superbill provided for you to pursue insurance reimbursement if you wish. Your visit will be split into two different sessions: 1. Telehealth session #1 focused on comprehensive lactation assessment: 100% covered by TLN 2. Telehealth session #2 focused on medical concerns, diagnosis and treatment: self pay. Cost of this second visit is listed below and reflects the balance between full self-pay and TLN covered portion.
