Plan and prepare for successful breastfeeding with this live, interactive class via Zoom. Led by a Family Nurse Practitioner/International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), in this is a 2-hour class you’ll join other expecting parents and learn all about breastfeeding! We will discuss a variety of topics and you will build confidence to successfully manage what’s to come! You will learn how to get breastfeeding off to a great start with recommendations for the first few days, how to achieve effective latch-on techniques, explore different nursing positions, learn hand expression and management of common challenges. This class is open to all expectant parents and your partner or support person is welcome to join! As this is a virtual class, it is recommended (but not required) to have a life-sized baby doll available for hands-on positioning practice. Instructor will demonstrate a variety of positions and it can be helpful to follow along. It is recommended to complete this class in the last few weeks of pregnancy (preferably by 36-37 weeks) but you are welcome to complete at any time!
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance of class so waitlist participants can be admitted.
